Naples native, Jennifer (Jenn) Alvarez Linguidi, opened Purely You Spa in March of 2010 after more than a decade of hospitality service experience. Her interest in natural care is largely the result of being treated for a non-cancerous desmoid tumor, also known as fibromatosis, in her leg at 21 years of age. The surgical portion of her treatment involved removing three parts of her leg muscles, requiring her to learn to walk again, while the chemotherapy left her feeling depleted and dealing with severe skin issues. The development of acne is what prompted her interest in skincare and resulted in pursuing skincare education and becoming a Skincare Specialist.
In her quest for personal wellness, Jenn explored nutrition, exercise, essential oils, and stress reduction while learning the importance of an organic diet and skincare regimen. Along the way, she became an engaging public speaker, sharing her story of transformation and personal power with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Today, free from the health challenges of her past, Jenn has channeled her passion for wellness into her organic day spa, Purely You Spa, awarded “Most Green Spa” by Eminence Organic SkinCare in southwest Florida. Purely You Spa celebrates being chosen Collier County’s Business of the Month in March 2014 where the award was presented at the Board of Collier County Commission meeting.
She is joined by specialists, experts in their fields, who are devoted to helping Purely You Spa guests and members, as well as the local community, find balance naturally – through high-quality, organic products, services and classes.
In addition to being a licensed esthetician and body wrap therapist, Jenn is a member of the National Associated Skin Care Professionals and is trained in: Intense Pulse Light Therapy; Microdermabrasion Theory and Technique; Eminence Organic Skin Care~ Level 1, Level 2, and results driven organic skincare; Egyptian Reflexology~ Level 1 and Level 2; Indian Head Treatment; Dermaplaning; Manual Facial Lymph Drainage; as well as Natural and Organic Wax.
She also holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from Florida Gulf Coast University. She also is an Integrative Health Coach and graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Additionally, she will soon be a graduate of the American Academy of Functional Medicine and will be a Functional Health Practitioner.
